Plastic scintillation detector has the advantages of high detection efficiency and fast response. Moreover, it is capable of achieving different detection sensitivity by modifying the scintillator's volume, thus covers different dose rate range.
Comparing with the GM tube based gamma detector, the plastic scintillation detector has higher dose rate resolution; com¬paring with the ionized chamber, its operation is much more stable.
